This fine evening I ventured down to The Spot Underground for a Re-Creation Tuesday. The night started out around 7:30pm with the open Mic portion and there were a lot of performers on hand early. Joe Conscious was first to the den stage with his brand of rap.
D.o.drent (Done Often, Done Right, Every Now and Then) followed suit with a few raps over home made beats.
A Creation Tuesday Staple, Jay Starr was in the house and played a few of his original tracks I’d brand as surf rock.
Another staple of Tuesday’s at the Spot, Tim Batty was next to stage. Tim’s become a bit of an artist in residence at The Spot selling his paintings and reading his poetry on Creation Tuesdays for quite some time now.
The Den Stage hosted Becca Neveu next. I’d heard she had been hitting some Creation Tuesdays of late and it was nice to catch her play a short set.
Cait LaRose was next on the Den Stage, she played a Uke and a couple of great covers.
Steve Ryu was the last performer of the open Mic portion of the night. Quite a pleasant surprise great folk sound and all original compositions.
Re-creation Tuesday quickly turned over to the Jam portion of the night. I stayed for a quick set from The Cosmic Factory then headed off into the night.
