Normally Wednesdays are reserved for Free Funk Wednesday at The Spot Underground but this week was special. Tim Davis of Torch Alliance had booked ‘The Acoustic Factory” which was comprised of solo acoustic sets from each member of The Cosmic Factory. Dewey Raposo took to the Den Stage first.
That was a rare treat as I didn’t even know Dewey played guitar, normally he’s laying the back beat behind the kit.
Lee Mcadams was next on the Den Stage joined by Adam Foote on percussion at points. Lee is a bit more seasoned on guitar and has played for years in various bands but rarely is he seen performing stripped down acousticy sets.
Mike Baker rounded out the Acoustic Factory portion of the night on the Den Stage and surprised me with a some new originals I had yet to hear.
The party moved to the Main Stage where Galactic Alliance was scheduled to slay a two hour set. Being a ‘school night,’ so to speak, I forced myself to behave and took off after only three rockers.
