This fine Friday night in May I ventured over to the Fete Lounge for The Silks release of ‘Last American Band.’ It was a busy night throughout Providence with many shows happening but the bill at Fete was stacked with area bands representing both Boston and Providence. Torn Shorts started out the night right with a tight nine song set:
The Curtis Mayflower took to the stage next, they brought some sweet soul music:
Another soulful powerhouse from Boston, OldJack, commanded the stage next:
The stars of the night, The Silks, took over the stage and destroyed. They played an action packed and abundant set of songs from the new release and many more:
On my way home from Fete I stopped by my second home, The Spot Underground, to catch my friends in Daddie Long Legs:
