My best friend and I ventured not far from his home, this Saturday evening in May, to catch the first annual Round Square Festival at Theatre 82 in Character’s Cafe. The two night festival of singer songwriters was brought together and hosted by Steve Allain, who had performed himself, the previous night. Steve came to the stage to introduce the night, as well as the first performer Kayla Ringelheim:
Kayla chatted up the audience and delighted with six of her piano driven originals:
Daphne Lee Martin, visiting from Connecticut, brought a friend on keys to accompany her during her set:
Haunt the House was next to perform and impressed with a foursome of fantastic proportions:
Pulling double duty, Allysen Callery stayed on stage and enchanted the crowd with her songs:
Dan Blakeslee, visiting from wherever the breeze had blown, was the final performer on the night:
