The last weekend before the summer begins, what are you going to see?
The second installment of Sully’s Cafe at The Green room is finally here! Josh Willis, Rene Dupont and I invite Cole Alexander into the studio for an interview and two song performance.
Oh boy! The Scene is really starting to heat up, right along with the weather, as Summer fast approaches the shear volume of great music shows has increased with it! If you don’t make it out to something this weekend, you just don’t like music!
In this first official podcast, Josh Willis, Rene DuPont and I discuss some great recent shows, and some great ones coming up. Ranging from my trip to The Wheel House on May 29th, to see Parry Adams, Ross Livermore, Chris Merritt and Shannon Corey, through this past weekends private parties. Two new singles are included in the audio, we listen and review both Shannon Corey’s “Doing Fine” as well as VulGarrity‘s “Freakshow.” Big news in upcoming shows this wee as The Providence Phoenix Best Music Poll Award Show is Wednesday at Lupo’s, we go through the nominees, and our picks, and The Brew is coming to Providence for a Friday night gig at Tazza Cafe.
Things have still been quite hectic for me and I have not returned to my regular obsessive compulsive scouring the Internet for listed shows. I’ve spotted a few this weekend that you shouldn’t miss, but if I happened to miss yours, please let me know!
Oh Boy, as the temperatures rise, so does the volume of shows. This weekend there are quite a few shows to catch, but most importantly the first major festival of the season is under way! Enjoy some of the great music this Memorial Day weekend, and stay safe.
In this beta episode Josh Willis and I sit down with Rene Dupont, a local talent manager, and discuss his involvement with SEXCoffee, For the Love of Sloane, VulGarrity, Gamblin’ Hands, Dennis Emsley, and Shryne. Dicussion also ensues of some of the great music we caught this week, from Gravity Works, Harmony Sleeps Around, Fungus Amungus, Spogga and Green Frequency, as well, some great music coming up!
Finished my move, I’m now residing on Fox Point in Providence, a few more weeks and I’ll be fully unpacked and settled and can hop back to regular updates, for now you’ll have to survive on just the weekly Tunes Around Town post:
This weekend is still totally up in the air for me, if I missed your show let me know and I’ll get it listed ASAP:
