Quite the Saturday night adventure for your old protagonist here.  It was a beautiful evening so I decided to venture off on foot to Smith&Weeden’s album release at AS220.  The night started with Northampton based The Sun Parade followed by Ravi Shavi before the men of the hour took to the stage.  After the rowdy fine time on Empire Street I ventured over to The Spot Underground to catch the tail end of Santa Mamba’s set and a bit of Sarah Borrello’s.

Few and far between are the Re-Creation Tuesdays I can attend of late, but this week I had to make it down to The Spot Underground as it was Josh Willis‘ birthday celebration. How could I pass THAT up?  I only stayed for the acoustic open mic portion of the night but had the chance to see Ted Staples, DODRENT, Lyle Bookbinder and Adam Foote, Tim Batty, Becca Neveu, and the man of the hour himself, Mr Josh Willis perform short acoustic sets.

Great Friday night out in Pawtucket to catch Torn Shorts and Coyote Kolb at The Met.  The music was fantastic, I just wish more had been in attendance to witness the ROCK that was brought forth this night.

Friday April 18th was a great night I started early at The Bucket Brewery for their Sound Check Sessions featuring Joe Touchette III and The Van Burens. At the Sound Check Sessions I was lucky enough to win tickets to see Joe Fletcher and the Wrong Reasons at Fete. After which I visited The Met for a fresh set from Fungus Amungus then wrapped up the night at The Spot Underground for The Little Compton Band. All in all quite a busy night around town!
