M’lady Nicole and I went out on this wet Friday eve to another fantastic Bucket Brewery Sound Check Session, this time at The Parlour.  Billed as Members of Viral Sound, Ariel, Charley, Dan and Chris were on hand playing some covers and Viral originals, the gents even invited some friends to join them along the way, Atticus Allen of The Little Compton Band sat in most of the night and was relieved by Zach Deputy at the end.

Photo Feature: May 31st 2014

Still exhausted from the night before, I managed to muster the energy to walk down to The Spot on this fine Saturday night for more of the live music I love and crave.  Galactic Alliance started the night with a half set on the Den Stage. Funky Dawgz Brass Band took to the Main Stage and brought a brass assault.  Galactic Alliance filled in the Den Stage again for another high energy half set. Then Fungus Amungus finished out the night in the Main Stage room with a long two hour set of old favorites and new tracks.  Great night on the town but the walk home was a long, cold, lonely road.

Photo Feature: May 30th 2014

I ventured off initially to Fete for a rather stacked ROCK bill.  The Silks were headlining and brought in some other great acts, Torn Shorts opened the night followed by The Curtis Mayflower and Old Jack.  It was nice to see a bit of the Providence – Worcester – Boston gig sharing I try to bring to the light.  All acts were tight and sounding right!  After the last one from The Silks I took off to my home away from home, The Spot Underground to catch the tail end of Daddie Long Legs killer set. Quite an eventful Friday night!

Photo Feature: May 17th 2014

This Saturday night I took off to Cranston.  After rescuing my best friend from his fatherly duties for the evening he and I went to Theater 82 in Characters Cafe for the Round Square Music Festival.  The night of songwriters was put together by Steve Allain and included fantastic acts such as Kayla Ringelheim, Daphne Lee Martin, Haunt The House, Allysen Callery and Dan Blakeslee.  I was very excited as it was the first chance I got to see Haunt The House and Dan Blakeslee both of whom I’d been checking out online frequently.
