After a few days of hibernation due to a blizzard I’m sure you’re as aching as I am to get out and stretch those legs AND ears at some of these great local shows!
This frightful Thursday evening I ventured over to Casa de Schilberg for a Halloween themed house show. The evening started with a brilliant set from Haunt The House:
The main attraction headliner for the evening was the dastardly Doctor Gasp (the villainous alter ego of one Mr Dan Blakselee), who played a variety of tracks from his two Halloween theme albums:
Directly after work on this Monday, called Indigenous Peoples Day or Columbus Day depending on your point of view, I sprinted over to Wickenden Street to catch The People’s Parade, a major part of the PRONK celebration. I set up at the start of the parade route, catching the whole parade turn the first corner, then sprinted down the parade route to catch some other highlights:
I ventured out to The Spot Underground this Friday evening for a fantastic bill. I arrived in time to catch a bit of Trails‘ set on the main stage (apologies, stage lighting kept most of set out of camera focus for some reason):
Local music producer and DJ, VII, took the den stage and played a great electronic based mid-set:
