Last Friday, July 15th, I had put together a show at The Apartment with my friends US Sam, Torn Shorts and Hiding Behind Youth LONG before I heard that one of my favorite regional bands would be at The Spot Underground that day, The Brew.  I experienced a great night of music but was a little saddened I missed one of my favorites.  Have no fear because Bob K was there, doing what he does best, snapping KILLER photos!  If you like what he does in a live setting you’ll love what he does in a controlled environment, be sure to book your studio time with him TODAY!  And don’t worry, if you’re sad you missed The Brew too, you can catch them again at The Spot Underground on September 30th!

Part of the problem of running a website about local music is there are so many good events that conflict with each other.  July 9th was the culmination of this year’s Sound Session (revival), run by the Roots Cafe, I wasn’t able to attend but our good friend Bob Karambelas did!  Remember to check out BobK.com and book time for studio or live photography with Bob when you need some new, great shots of yourself, your band, or your cats (I don’t actually know if he does pet photography but my cat decided to walk across my desk at that moment.)  Both of the following photos spoke to me, and reminded me of the great time I missed.  The smiles on the faces of the musicians of Max Creek and Fungus Amungus tell stories in and of themselves.
