This Friday night I ventured over to The Spot Underground early for a fantastic night. It started first with a Knock Down Stand Up show around 7pm and got funkier from there. Daddie Long Legs started the night on the main stage and raged:
The Spot and Sully’s Cafe’s own Josh Willis took to the den stage for the in-between filler set:
My brother and I started this Friday night early at The Providence Public Library for a H. P. Lovecraft Readathon, between each reading a local songwriter performed. Haunt the House took to the stage first:
Ian Fitzgerald took the stage second and enchanted with his skillfully woven tales:

Feeling adventurous this Friday night I visited my home away from home The Spot Underground to support some friends in from out of town at their first Friday gig in Providence. The night started early on the den stage with Northampton, MA based EatUrAura:
The party moved to the main stage for Manifested, visiting from New Hope, PA:
Music for Paws was fantastic philanthropic event coordinated by none other than Davey Moore of Midday Records and Tracy Garrity of VulGarrity DUSK. This fine Sunday afternoon was the rain date that made up for the deluge of the previous day. M’lady and I only stayed for a little to show some support and check out the pet centric vendors and were first delighted with the sounds of Nate Cozzolino:
Next under the canopy was Tammy Laforest, who, due to the daytime performance, was excited her daughters could finally be in attendance to watch her play:
This fine Wednesday evening I ventured to Brown Street Park for a rare concert sponsored by Providence Parks and Recreation department that featured Smith&Weeden. It was a lovely, well attended, all ages event. See if you can spot the song lyrics adjusted for a kid friendly set:
