Tunes Around Town – February 18th through February 21st

Tons of great shows coming up this weekend. There’s even two “out of towners” for which you should make time, The Movement, Philly’s hottest hip-hop reggae act visiting Providence, and New York’s urban cowboy wordsmith, Andy Friedman, plays an acoustic set at Berklee. Country, Rock, Blues, Jams, Reggae and The Funk coming at you this weekend:

Thursday February 18th


The Movement at Club Hell, 73 Richmond Street, 8:30pm  These guys have been touring non-stop, this hip-hop reggae rock band has been kicking up a storm along the way.  High energy live sets.

Friday February 19th


Andy Friedman, solo acoustic, Berklee College of Music Unplugged Series at The Loft, 939 Boylston Street, 6:30pm  I’d call his style Country Blues folk, but give it a listen and decide for youself.  Love his wordplay.

Dopapod at Tammany Hall, 43 Pleasant Street, 18+, 10:30pm.  If you’ve been feeling the funk, these guys have an addictive instrumental funk sound, clips I’ve seen show electrifying live shows, definitely a show you shouldn’t miss if you are in the Worcester area!
