Tunes Around Town – Big Music Weekend September 17th-20th

Autumn has made her presence know a bit early this year, and the weather has been cooling off, but The Scene is getting hotter than ever. There is so much music during this last official weekend of summer I have to use two additional exclamation points just to convey my excitement!!!

Thursday September 17th


Santa Mamba at The Black Rep‘s Sound Session Search 2010 Kick Off Party , 276 Westminster Street. $5 cover or FREE with College or Military ID Doors at 8pm


The Brew at The Iron Horse Music Hall, 20 Center Street, 10pm. $10 advanced, $13 at the door. The Brew recently begain releasing live CDs in the series called “Look Ma, No Hands!” availble for stream on their bandcamp website.

Friday September 18th


Chuck Williams at The Coffee Depot, 501 Main Street, 7:30pm

Fall River

Run for Covers at Playoff’s Pub, 4263 North Main Street, 8pm


Senior Discount at Club Oasis inside London Billiards, 70 James Street, 18+, $7 cover, Doors at 8pm


Wormtown Music Festival 11 begins Friday and ends Sunday at Camp KeeWanee. Local acts to catch over the weekend: Fungus Amungus, Foxtrot Zulu, Humblebee, Gravity Works, The Muve, Dog Star Blue, The Law (performing as Outside the Element), Love Whip, The Effective Dose, and Mass Elite. And those are just off the top of my head! Check the schedule of appearances.

Saturday September 19th


-Wormtown Music Festival 11 continues…


The MassCann Freedom Rally in Boston Common. A celebration of the reform of marijuana laws with live music all day. The Luxury is scheduled to appear first at noon.
